Be honest and respectful
Use accurate information about yourself and your plans. Do not impersonate anyone, misrepresent a home, harass, threaten, scam or discriminate unlawfully. No spam, unsolicited commercial promotion or illegal content. Only share content you have the right to share.
Protect your privacy and other people’s
Keep exact addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, identity documents and financial details out of your public-facing profile. Do not publish someone else’s personal details or private communications without permission. A visible profile is available to signed-in members and authorized operators. It starts hidden until you choose visibility.
Choose each introduction
Suggestions are based on the plans and preferences members provide. They are not identity checks or guarantees of compatibility. Email addresses are revealed to both members only after a request is accepted. You can decline, end a connection, pause your profile or block someone. Copies already saved by another person cannot be recalled.
Check people and homes for yourself
Meet in public first. Verify a home, the person offering it and their authority to rent it before paying or signing. ExpatWhy provides introductions; it does not verify identity or property ownership, arrange tenancy agreements, hold deposits or guarantee accommodation. Suggestions do not decide anyone’s eligibility for housing.
Report problems and ask for review
Use Report on a member or connection to tell the operator what happened. Reporting also blocks the member. Include only the information needed to explain the concern. Reports are private to authorized operators; they are not a public discussion. We may suspend access for violations or safety concerns. To question a moderation decision, request review, or report a problem when you cannot sign in, email contact@bangkokgotme.com with “ExpatWhy community” in the subject. Do not send passwords or recovery codes. This pilot is not monitored continuously; for an immediate danger contact local emergency services.
Your account and rights
The pilot is free and does not subscribe you to marketing. You can edit, pause or delete your account in My profile. Read the community terms and membership privacy notice for data use, retention, rights and contact information.
