Cities with the most wifi cafés mapped on OSM
Coworking is one signal; the café-with-wifi network is another. Some cities have weak coworking culture but excellent café options. Mapping coverage is uneven outside Europe and North America.

frequently asked
Quick answers.
- Wifi at every café isn't always free though.
- True, OSM tags only the presence of wifi, not whether it's free. Most cafés in cities like Bangkok or Paris offer free wifi to customers as standard; some require a purchase or QR sign-in.
- How does this differ from the coworking ranking?
- Coworking is a dedicated paid space, usually €10-30/day with reliable internet, monitors, meeting rooms. Café wifi is the free / per-cup alternative, better for short bursts, weaker for video calls.
